WU police investigating loss of Microfridges from Lee Wicker Staff reports

Officers are investigating the loss of seven Microfridges from Lee Wicker Hall, according to a Winthrop University police report. The values of the fridges add up to approximately $2,800, the report says.

Late last Thursday, a complainant called Winthrop Police Department to report that between Aug. 2 and Aug. 7, student workers and facilities management personnel had noted that the Microfridge combination appliances were missing from several rooms. The report says police searched the building and reviewed pertinent records. The model numbers and serial numbers were not recorded, according to the complainant.

Police say Lee Wicker Hall housed camp and conference attendees throughout the summer. The case is marked active.
