Student’s credit, debit cards swindled from purse

A Winthrop student was the victim of credit card fraud last week when her South Carolina Bank & Trust debit card and Founders Credit Union credit card were stolen from her purse while on campus. 

The student’s father told Rock Hill Police that his daughter last saw her credit and debit cards last Thursday, according to a Rock Hill police report. 

A representative from Founders informed him that the credit card was used to make a purchase at 409 S. Herlong Ave. before it was cancelled, the report says. 

The case is still active, pending further investigation.
