DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION DUI RELATED/POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA (9/1/11)
At 11 p.m., a Winthrop police officer observed a white vehicle driving with the lights off on Charlotte Ave., according to the police report. The officer stopped the vehicle. While speaking with the subject, the officer sensed an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer checked the subject’s information through the DMV and found that his driving privileges were suspended. He then arrested the subject. The officer found a marijuna cigarette in the subject’s vehicle. The driver was escorted to the Rock Hill Law Center and was issued a ticket for possession of marijuna and for driving under suspension, DUI related, according to the police report.
POSSESSION/CNSUMPTION OF LIQUOR UNDER 21 (9/3/11)
At 2:10 a.m., a Winthrop reporting officer went to Richardson Hall in reference to a male subject passed out in the fourth floor hallway, according to the police report. The officer located the subject, who smelled of alcohol and was intoxicated. The officer woke him up and inspected the subject’s identification and found he was 18. The incoherent subject was arrested for possession and consumption of liquor under 21 and transported to the Rock Hill Jail, according to the police report.
