Parking spaces on the way

As soon as the university gets its hands on some much-needed signs, five short-term parking spaces will soon become available to students from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., said CSL Chair Kambrell Garvin during the Council of Student Leaders’ Monday night meeting.

After receiving an e-mail from Frank Ardiaolo, vice president of student life, Garvin told members of the student government body that the five 30 minute drop-off/pick-up parking spaces approved by President Anthony DiGiorgio last month should  be opened for student use within a couple of days.

A couple of weeks ago, Garvin and CSL Vice Chair Kaitlin Sapp reported they met with DiGiorgio and lobbied for more student parking.

What they got was the ‘go-ahead’ for five temporary parking spaces in the gravel lot adjacent to the DiGiorgio Campus Center.

Students needing to drop off or pick up packages, mail, etc. will be able to park in the spaces for up to 30 minutes.
