Frank Barnes Jr. Funeral

Expect traffic delays on Oakland Avenue for an undetermined amount of time due to the funeral procession of Frank Barnes Jr., the president of Comporium Communications, who died on Sunday. 

He turned 91 on Saturday and died the next day. 

His funeral was today at 2 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church on India Hook Road. Comporium contractor trucks have lined all of Oakland, extending past the president’s house.  

Comporium Communications, formerly the Rock Hill Telephone Co., has been in the Barnes family since 1912.
