Scandal's is looking to expand the business' popularity from the weekends only to the beginning of the week.

Scandal's is looking to expand the business' popularity from weekends only to the beginning of the week also.

The bar's owner wants to open up his stage for performers within the College of Visual and Performing Arts at the beginning of the week, CSL's community involvement committee announced during this week's council meeting.

New organizations

Students interested in art and giving back to the community can join a new organization on campus.

CSL chartered Expressive Arts Service Organization, which is an expansion of a class that already exists, on Monday night. The class currently takes art to patients in the hospital. The organization is for students not necessarily in the class who would like to gain service learning hours or simply do a good deed.

CSL also chartered CMENC: The National Association for Music Educators. CMENC is only for music education majors or those in that general field. There is a $28 registration fee to join.

CSL elections

CSL Chair and Vice-chair applications are available and are due March 31st. The election will be April 5. The meeting and voting procedure is open to the entire student body, but only CSL members will be able to vote.

Applications for returning or new CSL members will be available at next week's meeting.
