Seven new students were added to the Council of Student Leaders’ ranks on Monday night.
The student government body interviewed and elected new annual members to add to their roster, entering executive session to cast their ballot.
In August, non-voting members were allowed to sit in while members elected new members.
New members include:
- Jacob Mumpower, junior business administration major who’s worked with Quality Assurance as a compliance manager.
- Ian Deas, a freshman biology major who works on The Gentlemen’s League’s public relations committee and wants to go to med school to be an ophthalmologist.
- Lauren “Marie” Williams, a sophomore interior design major who was instrumental in designing the “canstruction” and has held several leadership positions in the past.
- Sydney Evans, senior political science major, election commissioner for CSL and former CSL chair for two years.
- Ashley Roberts, junior health care management major, a peer mentor, orientation leader and proud owner of new piercings.
- Christopher Aubrie, a sophomore international business major who spent three years abroad in Shanghai, China, while in high school, a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and desires to see more recyclables on campus.
- Tyler Couch, a junior chemistry major who made a New Year’s pledge to be more involved on campus.
One position remains open.
